The cephalopods are a unique group of marine invertebrates within the phylum mollusca. The cephalopods are divided into two general types; the first one is called Nautiloidea with a few species of the pearly nautilus. The second one is called Coleoidea and includes the cuttlefish, squid, octopods, which is represented by about 700 species.
