Summary

These beautiful saturnid moths are native to North America. Males are most commonly seen when they are confused by lights while following the scent of female pheromones. The adult moths live only a few weeks; just long enough to propogate the next generation. Saturnid moths do not eat nor have they ate since before pupation in Fall the previous year. This one is a female. She has smaller feathery antennae thenn the male.
