Summary
Sagnlandet Lejre was founded in 1964 as the Lejre Forsøgscenter. It is a mixture of a research area and a museum for old times, from the stone age to our actual past. On the area different "villages" are build, reflecting living in the different ages. Together with the huge area of ground it's also a perfect place to get out of town for a quiet afternoon, being located only a quater of an hour south west of Roskilde.
The Background houses belong to the stone age village, rebuild in Lejre. The village is "inhabitat" during summer days.
