Summary
A greatly endangered species. A network of volunteers works to protect them while basking and nursing young. On Sandy Beach, where I photographed this one, there is a phone number you can call, which will bring a volunteer and fencing out to surround it to keep people from disturbing it. I should note that this was taken with a telephoto so I wasn't this close to it.
