Summary
I love how this larch turns yellow in the fall. It is found above 1700 meters (5600 feet) elevation, and you can really see this in fall when these trees turn yellow in the mountains.
This is a very short walk from Slate Peak, perhaps 1 km. It is the highest point that one can drive to in Washington State.
