Summary
Seney National Wildlife Refuge - 1963
1963 - Two eagles found dead were sent to Patuxent for pesticide residue studies. Probably some of the first birds studied after the release of Rachel Carson's book "Silent Spring" which points the finger at DDT causing the decline in predatory bird numbers.
