Welcome to the CreationWiki!

We thank the Lord for your willingness to serve Him by participating in the development of this educational resource. The CreationWiki is a collaborative effort and your help is needed. Our hope is that by working together we can build an archive of knowledge that will spread the truth of His creation throughout the world.

Please note that only creationists are permitted to edit articles. New editors are encouraged to visit the community portal to find ways of getting involved. It is also important to familiarize yourself with policy, such as the requirements for uploading images. The CreationWiki has been equipped with numerous help files that are essential for people unfamiliar with editing using the Mediawiki software.

  • Policy - We now ask that editors provide references to support all article content.
  • Creating a new page - Simply enter a title for your new article and click "Create page".
  • Editing Help - Authoring within the CreationWiki may require a little education.
  • Formatting Help - Formatting pictures and creating tables will help make your pages professional.

Hi to CreationWiki!

Hi! I am very glad to be a member of CreationWiki. I really like how it put science and creationism together to increase my faith. But please, don't say very complicated words, because I am not a native English speaker. I was just recently ejected from editing "Evolution" on Wikipedia, so I decided that CreationWiki is probably going to be a much better place to be. I really look forward to editing CreationWiki!

Please contact other administrators

Hello, Clark.
I am administrator of only Russian CreationWiki http://creationwiki.org/ru/. Please contact somebody from this list:

How to change my user name???

Dear Administrator: Is there any way I can change my user name? Because it will be easier for me to remember with a different user name, plus, the user name wouldn't show my real name. Please answer. Thanks!

No - you may change your password, email address, etc., but not your username. --Ashcraft - (talk) 20:39, 12 November 2013 (EST)

Well, that's not very good. But it's okay. I can get used to it. Thanks for replying! God bless you!

Wikipedia content

CreationWiki editors: I copied this page from Wikipedia to try to improve CreationWiki. Please edit out anything that are unscientific and does't fit on CreationWiki. Thank you!

STOP - we do not want users copying bulk content from Wikipedia into CreationWiki pages. Articles on CreationWiki should be uniquely written from the Creation POV using largely creationist references. --Ashcraft - (talk) 16:26, 22 February 2014 (EST)

Okay, I'll stop. The only thing I wanted to do is to improve CreationWiki. If it doesn't, I'll stop. Sorry.

No problem... FYI - there are some public domain text sources that we'd be comfortable allowing (i.e. US national government agency publications). However, we do not mirror Wikipedia pages. Feel free to check with me first if you have a big project in mind and want to be sure it would be OK. --Ashcraft - (talk) 16:41, 22 February 2014 (EST)

Thanks. God bless you.

Is there any way to delete a page that I have made?

Just wondering.--O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth and heaven! 19:22, 24 February 2014 (EST)

Only admins can delete pages, but yes.... Either send request to an admin or use the CreationWiki:Recommend deletion page.

Improving States of Matter page

Dear Ashcraft: please note that there are many more states of matter other than the most common three, it will be great if someone add those in. And, please add more information on the existing three states of matter on the page right now. And there is one mistake: nail rusting is not a physical change, it's a chemical change. I suggest information from this Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_matter May I edit this page?

Sure - that's fine. But again do not duplicate content from Wikipedia articles. --Ashcraft - (talk) 17:32, 1 March 2014 (EST)

I'll make sure I write it in a creationist POV.--O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth and heaven! - Clark 10:56, 2 March 2014 (EST)

How to make multi-image?

I try to do multi-image on the "glass" section of State of matter page, and I can only copy that format from Wikipedia. Appearently it works differently on CreationWiki. How do we do that?

Use the help page on "images" for instructions and examples.

Please review the help page on uploading. A valid copyright status is required, along with a valid source (a link to the page where the image can be found along with its descriptive information). "Wikipedia" is not sufficient. Files are deleted that are uploaded without this information. Please edit the following files - adding this required data.

Also - please sign your comments. --Ashcraft - (talk) 11:30, 3 March 2014 (EST)

Sorry, I forgot to sign it. I will make sure that I do next time.--O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth and heaven! - Clark 17:43, 3 March 2014 (EST)

But please note that this is rather a big project for me and I don't have a whole lot of time, so actually finishing this page will take some time.--O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth and heaven! - Clark 21:04, 5 March 2014 (EST)

Uploading images

Nice improvements on the State of matter article. Before uploading any more images, please again review the help page on uploading requirements. Examples of what to provide for "copyright status" are provided on the uploading help page. For the following image you had simply placed "Spirit469" as the copyright status. The copyright status must provide information on why the image is able to be used on the Creationwiki. For Creative Commons licensed images, a link to the license should be provided.

A couple of other important guidelines:
Please upload large version of images instead of "thumbnail" sizes - so that the reader can click on the image and view the large version. Also a "summary" of the images if extrememly important. I note that on many images you've uploaded - you deleted the summary section rather than providing this information.[1]

I have edited the following picture (pasting in info from the source) and uploaded a new (larger) version. Please note these changes and consider making similar edits to the other images. http://creationwiki.org/pool/index.php?title=File%3A220px-Electron_Sea_%28Plasma%29.jpg&action=historysubmit&diff=39450&oldid=39427

When you are ready to work on references - the following help page (Help:Footnote) will be useful in understanding how the <ref> tags work.
