This pic is of the Second Temple, as built by King Herod, not the temple built by Solomon. Karajou 15:35, 23 November 2007 (EST)

Why do you say that? Most of the images I've seen are comparable.

The temple (the second temple) was extensively rebuilt by Herod on a grand scale, and subsequent models of this building leave out the two bronze pillars that were prominently placed in front with the main entrance between them, as is described in 1 Kings when Solomon erected the first temple. I see - very good. --Mr. Ashcraft - (talk) 18:26, 23 November 2007 (EST)
I've seen several models of Herod's temple, differing in slight details from each other, but the most common image is the model at the Holyland Hotel, Jerusalem, which is part of a miniature of the city in the time of Jesus and is based upon archaeological evidence. I have seen no images or models of the temple as built by Zerubbabel, but judging from the description given in Ezra I would assume they followed as much as possible the original plan; according to Josephus there was a slight diffence in size.
