Oil Drilling Platform in the Santa Barbara CA Channel. Ten of us docent types from Morro Bay, CA, take a 4-hour Whale Watching boat trip tour on the Condor Express www.condorcruises.com/ out of Santa Barbara, CA, to Santa Cruz Island in the Channel Islands in Central-Southern California, on Labor Day 07 Sept 2009. Organized by Rouvaishyana of the CA State Park Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay, CA. Photo by Michael "Mike" L. Baird, mike [at} mikebaird d o t com, flickr.bairdphotos.com; Canon 5D, Canon 100-400mm Lens with circular polarizer (which made a big difference) handheld on a moving boat.
