Summary
Originally, I thought that this must be a cuckoo bumblebee, because of it's lack of hairiness and its dark tinged wings. However on closer observation, the hind tibia appear to be quite shiny and not very hairy, so this indicates a social bumblebee. I think i'd choose a very worn male social bumblebee, but if anyone thinks differently, let me know. Redhill, Hookagate, Shropshire2005.
