- Fruit: Cone, 2 to 3 inches long, 1 to 1 1/4 inches wide; egg-shaped; shiny,
yellow-brown; almost stalkless
- Bark: Dark brown; thick; rough;
furrowed into irregular scaly plates
Buds: Large, silvery buds
