Summary

This salamander breathes through its skin. It is adapted for climbing and has been found high in trees. Unlike most salamanders in the USA, Arboreal Salamanders do not require bodies of water for breeding. They lay their eggs in damp places and the young hatch out of the egg fully formed, rather than as larvae. Endemic to California and northern Baja California del Norte. San Luis Obispo Co., CA, USA. January 10.
