Summary
Spiral shaped Amoeboid protist - of either phylum Sarcomastigophora Lecquereusia spiralis, or phylum Amoebozoan Difflugia spiralis possibly in the process of conjugation, a complex mechanism of sexual reproduction that occurs in some algae and some protozoa.
It was found in a sample from the port of Pedraja, in Burgos. The photograph was made with 400 increases and the use of interference contrast and the sample, as already indicated, comes from the Ibon Batisielles, in the Pyrenees of Huesca.
