Your theory does not work under my theory, so your theory must be wrong

This is a logical fallacy often used by Evolutionists against Creationists. It is a form of circular reasoning in which the person tries to disprove a point of view by interpreting the facts through a different view. It can be illustrated as follows:
- Fact A is interpreted by view Z as a.
- Interpretation a conflicts with view Y.
- Therefore Y is assumed to be wrong.
This ignores the fact that:
- A is interpreted by view Y as b.
- Interpretation b is consistent with view Y.
While this fallacy can result from a deliberate effort to deceive, it is most often a result of not being able to think from a point of view other than one's own. It is often a case of confusing an interpretation of a fact with the fact itself.
