From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
Chemistry is the branch of science concerned with the composition, properties, and structure of matter, and how different substances react together and the transformations they can go through.
There are a number of Creation scientists involved in the study of chemistry. One of the founding fathers of chemistry was creationist Robert Boyle to whom Modern chemistry owes enormous gratitude for his work, writings and research. Boyle loved God’s truth, which helped him see the grand errors of alchemical theory that were hindering the development of what is now scientific chemistry.
Silicon is a chemical element with the atomic number 14, and the symbol Si. It is the second most abundant element on Earth comprising approximately 25.7% of the crust.[1] Due to its low reverse leakage current silicon is used as the main component when making semiconductor devices like glass, ceramics, and cement.
Dr. Donald Chittick received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, and a Bachelor of Science from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. His resume includes the following: Chairman of the Division of Natural Sciences at George Fox University in Oregon, adjunct professor of chemistry at the Institute for Creation Research in California, and Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Puget Sound in Washington, as well as being an active lecturer for thirty years. Chittick is also an active inventor and has received several patents for alternative fuels and "programmed instruction," i.e. homeschooling. He has a member of the American Chemical Society, and the Creation Research Society.
