Health Sciences are applied sciences that are associated directly or indirectly with health.

Health Science can be devided under two systems:
1. The study and research of Humans and Animals in regards to health related issues to better the understanding of how humans and animals function.
2. The application of knowledge gained from this to improve the health of humans and animals, to prevent and cure diseases and infections, and to prevent impairment of health therough a variety of methods and practices.

Applied health sciences also endeavor to better understand health, but in addition they try to directly improve the health of individuals and of people in general. They include a wide variety of disciplines and practices. The application of Health Science is generally refered to as Health Services or Health Care.
