1. Coal deposits show evidence of a history. Most coals are found in sedimentary rocks deposited in flood plains. They often contain stream channels, roots, and soil horizons. Long time may not be necessary to form the coal itself, but it is necessary to account for the context where coal is found.
All Talk Origins interpretations that contain a geologic context of coal are based completely upon Uniformitarianism. When they are interpreted by flood geology these so-called problems do not exist. Fore example the stream channels are gullies carved trough soft sediment by mud flows or under water currents. The soils are actually under water mud slides, for they lack many of the features of real soil. By the way the roots are no problem in flood geology.
