Baraminology Study Group

The Baraminology Study Group (BSG) is an affiliation of professionals in the biological and related sciences who seek to idenfity and study the taxonomic concept of created kind or baramin. This creation biology field of study is known as baraminology.

The BSG sponsors and encourages participation in a variety of activities designed to achieve our overall mission, including:
- Maintaining a website that acts as an information resource and outreach for the BSG [1].
- Encouraging individual and corporate research projects, such as HybriDatabase [2] and works cited in bibliography.
- Publishing an online, peer-reviewed journal [3].
- Organizing periodic conferences [4].

BSG Conference
The 2007 BSG Conference will be held on the campus of Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, June 13-15, 2007. The conference theme for this year is "All Creation Groans: The Problem of Natural Evil". This year's conference will involve plenary speakers, session speakers, poster presentations, and one-day workshops (June 13th). Workshop topics planned include: "Introduction to Baraminology", "Statistical Baraminology", "How to Establish Undergraduate Research Programs", and "Natural History of Central Virginia."
The date for submission of abstracts is February 28, 2007. At their website you can also find more information about upcoming conferences, including the proceedings of past conferences [5].
Call for Papers
The next BSG conference will be June 13-15, 2007 on the beautiful campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Liberty Universities website has more detailed locality & travel information [6]. The theme of this year's conference will be "All Creation Groans: The Problem of Natural Evil" [7].
The deadline for abstracts is February 28, 2007. A call for abstracts is now posted on the conference website. Abstracts regarding any aspect of biology or the history of life on earth will be considered for inclusion in the conference.
