Type:Acceleration
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
Acceleration is the scalar that tells how fast an object gains speed.
In CreationWiki, the base unit of acceleration is the meter per second squared. It describes a body gaining a speed of 1 m/s every second.
All other units are defined in relationship to it, as:
- 10 dm/s²,dm/s2
- 100 cm/s²,cm/s2
- 1000 mm/s²,mm/s2
- 0.1 dam/s²,dam/s2,dkm/s²,m/s2
- 0.01 hm/s²,hm/s2
- 0.001 km/s²,km/s2
- 3.6 km/h-s,km/hr-s
- 39.37007874 in/s²,in/s2
- 3.280839895 ft/s²,ft/s2
- 1.093613298 yd/s²,yd/s2
- 6.21371192234848e-4 mi/s²,mi/s2
- 2.23693629204545 mi/h-s,mi/hr-s,mph/s
- 1.94260256940789 kt/s,knot/s,knots/s
Astronomy The astronomical standard of acceleration is g, the acceleration due to gravity (gravitational attraction) of the earth:
- 1.01971621297793e-001 g
